The Blue Doors of Chefchaouen, Morocco
The famous Blue Doors of Chefchaouen. Not all of them. But on our all day walk, it felt like we saw all the doors in the whole city. Located at the foot of the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen has more honest charm than anywhere else we saw in Morocco. It is the sort of village-lost-in-time (but not) that you build a trip around.

Carnac Megaliths, the World's Largest Prehistoric Stones Collection
The Carnac stones are an exceptionally dense collection of megalithic sites around the French village of Carnac, in Brittany, consisting of alignments, dolmens, tumuli and single menhirs. More than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones were hewn from local rock and erected by the pre-Celtic people of Brittany, and are the largest such collection in the world. Marine life must adopt an array of disguises if they are to keep out of trouble. From sand-skimming flounders with their chameleon-like skin to pigment seahorses virtually undetectable nestled in sea fans, their ability to impersonate and deceive are critical to evading the predators of the deep.
